Acrylic cotton tablecloths
The French have developed a unique method of treating their printed cotton tablecloths with an acrylic coating (enduit) which makes them water and oil resistant, and dirt resistant. Most marks and spills can be easily removed with a damp soapy cloth. No need to wash....just wipe. The tablecloths can be washed if needed (probably only needed every six months or so just to spruce them up). Washing is easily done at low temperatures followed by a quick spin and then hung out on a line to dry.
